The Red-Box Effect

Dig this. Mindy and I, living in the frigid north, bored. We can't play outside very often because of this equation: Go Outside + Logan + Winter = Death. I don't know all that math, but from personal experiences, i've come to accept this as true. On top of that it's only possible to play two player games for so long. Except for the weekend, we really don't hang with nobody. And, the kicker, we have watched every movie we own, more than twice. So, welcome to the RED-BOX EFFECT. when going to a red box, really the choice is between the two or three movies that you have heard about that you really wanted to see, or a bunch of random knockoffs or grade C- movies, that could yield something "tasty," or "unappetizing." If you are lucky, you will be smart enough not to delve into seeing movies from the latter selection. Mindy and I, have not been so lucky. Amid seeing such fun movies as Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda (both of which we saw in the theaters), we forced ourselves to endure such films as IGOR, and City of Ember, not to mention The Seeker. What i'm trying to say that the RED-BOX Effect states, if you want to watch a good movie from redbox, only pick a good movie you've already seen, at the very least have heard of it. because, "The Red Box Lottery" only pays out pocket lint, and used kitty litter. Plus, last thought, who runs the Red Box operation. I submit, it might be the devil, he lures us in with convenient and cheap movies, with the hope of a good one, only to dash our hopes.

the snuggie and other asorted items

The snuggie, the coolest thing since sliced bread. apparently the invention known as the blanket was missing something, sleeves. i can't believe that i have gone through 23 whole years of my life not knowing something so wonderful even existed. i feel like they i've almost wasted them. anyway it looks cool, and now all i need is a light saber to become the next jedi master. below is the link to the snuggie sight, so that you can see why you can get a snuggie, apparently worth 75 dollars for only 15! also, a funny clip where a drunk man passes the test, but accidently admits he's drunk and still gets arrested, plus the one and only emo band name generator. ever felt like you don't belong. almost as if the whole world has turned it's back on you. well now you can grow long hair, wear tight black clothes and rock out with fellow emo kids. this particular blog entry was pointless. but, i felt the need to share some of my favorite things. you know, brown paper packages, and such.

Winter Wonderland (hopefully a snow day too!)

Snow, frozen water, deceitfully beautiful like a rose. It intices one to touch it only to bite their finger almost like a thorn with it's bitter cold. It invaded our frigid northland clime, over three inches in the mere space of today. Only one thing, one bright shimmering speck of hope, can possibly save us from our otherwise inescapable demise. A Snow Day, I mean, in St. George we get half a centimeter and everyone stops everything, why can't Logan postpone it's higher education for over two whole feet? Anyway, our snow is a little deceptive, you'd think that with about two feet you could dive in and land on what would appear to be a cloud, or even a large marshmellow. Wrong. the first foot and a half came before a freak miniature heat wave. so it melted a little and turned to almost rock solid ice. Also funny thing, our front yard is almost totally shielded from the sun throughout the day. so we have well over two feet, whereas our neighbors might have a little over one. Mindy and i had lots of fun today playing in the snow, even if it won't even pack to make a snow man. we did snow angels, drew faces on the car and i even tried to jump in the large amount of snow in the front yard. we also made a fort, as shown by the beautiful model in the above photo.
