How Dare You question my reviewing style CID! I am the critic, it is i who lodge complaints or worship wonderful work on my not so regular basis. Therefore as i have decided, just now, i will continue in my reviewing way. I will comment on instances that are interesting and unique, not delve into the mundane world of plot and storyline as some people that will not be named have suggested. No Peter, i will not dirty myself with petty things such as that. it would bias my review, and make my work no better than wikipedia, Disgusting, Disgusting. I will leave you to your puerile prose now as i leave to further the literary world of critical movie reviews. thank you very much

the last movie

Sadly enough, Mindy and I have come to the end of the line, yes its true. We have finished our 4 free months of netflix. This wonderful time was provided by mindy's mother. anyway, we didn't squander our last pick. we used it on a wonderful old movie calld " the island at the top of the world." not saying it's the best movie ever, and in fact, if not for about 3 or 4 one golden one liners, this movie might not have been worth it.
"May I remind you that I am in command here! Only an idiot would attempt such a thing. I will do it myself." and a paraphrase, because i couldn't find the quote on the internet, it failed me. sad. anyway it went kind of like this. "today we are making history, there should be flags, there should be parades, the pesident should be making a nice little speech. Instead we have two young children and a pack of goats. I recommend this movie, especially if you like not quite realistic old timey special effects and a soundtrack that could have been part of the hit horror movie, "The Car" it was a good fun thing.

Shipoopi

Just so you know what i'm talking about here is the definition of the aforementioned title
Shi'Poo'pi - The Girl who is hard to get, Submitted by the famous song titled Shipoopi from the Music man.
That's right, The Music Man, One of the better known classic musicals, for some interesting plot but mostly for it's amazing sound track. Besides the fact that they were willing to fit a song titled Shipoopi into their majorly musical hollywood production, they also fit other songs in there such as. Talk alittle pick a little, and Madame Librarian (my favorite by the way.) I think that anybody watching this movie will almost want to jump out of their seat and play the air trombone, as seen in various scenes throughout the movie. if you haven't seen it yet, you should cause it's a rip roaring super awesome good time

I'm a marked man.

What do these two pictures have in common? Only the latest international government conspiracy theory. Here it comes. So after a nice refreshing walk, Mindy and I decide we want to go play catch with a football, so we head to the local park. On the way there, a little white dog, that looks like a rat by the way, decides to circle and bark at us. Well momma aint raised no fool so I stood still to let the dog smell me. Unfortunately that was my mistake. When I looked down, the aforementioned dog had peed on my shoe, affectively marking me his property. To add insult to shame my own wife laughed at me. Anyway, after a nice game of catch, we walked home. Only to be stopped at our door by who else, The FBI, well at least an agent of such. He wanted to do a background check on some neighbors that had just moved out. Anyway, here is the conspiracy. I submit, that the "dog" in question is either a highly trained kanine operative, or a robot, put in place in the neighborhood to search out likely sources of information and then to mark them. I mean how else could the FBI have known that we would be returning home at that precise moment? that is my question.

Our East coast adventure!
Like most vacations, ours started out different than we had expected. We purchased our plane tickets last fall when we found a great price for them. And since then we had been making plans for your stay in CT. We planned on our plane leaving at 11:58pm on Friday May 15th and arriving in New York at 5:30am. upon arrival Alishia and Grant Peterson were going to pick us up, let us sleep at their house for a few hours, and then we would tour around New York that day. Well, the day finally came and we were ready to leave for CT; my parents dropped us off at the air port and we went to check in. When we got to the check in counter the nice lady kindly told us that we were a day early! I did not believe her and she had to show me on my flight plans where it said that we leave Saturday at 11:50pm and not Friday like I had thought it was. Discouraged and laughing at ourselves, I pulled out my phone to call my parents and tell them to come back. While I was calling them the nice lady behind the counter said that for $ 0.40 we could leave a day early, and we would be guaranteed seats. We took the offer and we were so grateful that things worked out so nicely!
When we got into New York the Grant was so kind to come get us at 5:30am. He took us back to his house on Staten Island and we crashed for a few hours. When we woke up the Peterson's took us on a tour of New York City. We did not see much there, but it was a fun adventure. The next day was Sunday and we went to the first hour of church before taking a ferry, subway, and finally a train to CT where Malisa (my sister), and her husband Dave picked us up. It was so wonderful to see them!!! We relaxed the rest of the day, and our adventure began again on Monday when James, Malisa, and I went to the Yankee Candle Factory. It was really big and we bought a black cherry candle. On Tuesday we all left for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was a very large city with many sky scrapers, but it was not as busy as New York City. People walked more leisurely, and it was more of a slow paced city, I liked it a lot!. While we were there we visited a museum called the Mutter Museum. It is a physicians museum filled with a whole bunch of creepy and weird medical conditions. here is a link to the museums site and make sure you take their virtual tour: http://www.collphyphil.org/mutter.asp . We also saw the Liberty Bell, the outside of Independence hall, and the constitution museum where we took pictures of bronze sculptures of those present at the signing of the constitution.
When went back to CT on Thursday and stopped at the Twelves bar and grill. The name of the restraint is a big deal because Malisa and Daves last name is Twelves. So we ate at the Twelves restaurant, sat at table 12 with the Twelves, while James ate the Twelves burger for $12! Wow that was intense!
Friday was a lazy day, and the highlight of my day, and possibly the whole trip, was my trip to the Hill-Stead museum. I am a huge fan of Van Gough, Monet, Degas, and all the other impressionist painters! At the museum they had original Monet and Degas paintings. I almost cried when I saw them because I could see the brush strokes and feel what they felt and picture them there painting them. Oh i was over joyed!
Wow this blog is getting way too long! I think I'm going to simplify the rest of our trip :)
Well, during the rest of our trip we went to Providence, Rhode Island and saw an artist water/fire show called Water Fire and it was beautiful! We went to the Mystic sea port in Connecticut, were I bought a lot of fun souvenirs. Then on our last day we went to the Temple in Boston, Massachusetts, it was absolutely beautiful, and a wonderful way to end a vacation!
The best part of this whole vacation was that we spent the whole time with Dave and Malisa! we love them and miss them already! (thanks for such a great time guys!)
Here are some pictures from our vacation: in order from top to bottom, Hill-Stead Museum, Eating at the Twelves restaurant, me and James eating out, James with a bronze statue and the constitution museum, the liberty bell, and James and I at the Boston Temple.
